# Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on persistent organic pollutants (recast) (Text with EEA relevance), Article 15: Amendment of Annexes

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

1. The appropriate authority may by regulations amend Annex 1, 2 or 3 in order to adapt them to changes to the list of substances set out in the Annexes to the Convention or the Protocol or to modify existing entries or provisions in Annex 1 or 2 in order to adapt them to scientific and technical progress.
2. The appropriate authority shall keep Annexes IV and V under constant review and shall, where appropriate, make legislative proposals to amend these Annexes in order to adapt them to the changes to the list of substances set out in the Annexes to the Convention or the Protocol or to modify existing entries or provisions in the Annexes to this Regulation in order to adapt them to scientific and technical progress.
