Article 8 Review

The Commission shall review this Regulation in the light of technological progress and present the results of this review including, if appropriate, a draft revision proposal, to the Consultation Forum no later than 25 December 2025.

The review shall in particular assess the following:

1. (a)

   the improvement potential with regard to the energy consumption, functional and environmental performance of household washing machines and household washer-dryers;

2. (b)

   the appropriateness of maintaining two scales for the energy performance of household washer-dryers;

3. (c)

   the effectiveness of existing measures in achieving changes of end-user behaviour in purchasing more energy and resource efficient appliances and using more energy and resource efficient programmes;

4. (d)

   the possibility to address circular economy objectives.
