Division 5 REQUIREMENTS ON DURATIONF1

From 1 March 2021, household washing machines and household washer-dryers shall meet the following requirements:

the duration of the eco 40-60 programme (t_W), expressed in hours and minutes and rounded to the nearest minute, shall be lower than or equal to the time limit t_cap, which depends on the rated capacity as follows:

1. (1)

   for the rated washing capacity, the time limit is given by the following equation:

   t_cap(in min) =137 + c × 10,2

   with a maximum of 240 minutes;

2. (2)

   for half of the rated washing capacity and a quarter of the rated washing capacity, the time limit is given by the following equation:

   t_cap(in min) =120 + c × 6

   with a maximum of 180 minutes;

   where c is the rated capacity of the household washing machine or the rated washing capacity of the household washer-dryer for the eco 40-60 programme.
