Article 2 Definitions

United Kingdom

For the purpose of this Regulation, the following definitions shall apply:

F1(a)

‘specified material’ means any plants, plant products or other objects that are subject to measures, requirements or restrictions under Articles 30(1), 40(1), 41(1), 42(2), 48(1), 49(1), 53(1) or 54(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/2031;

(b)

‘specified pests’ means pests to which the specified material is known to be susceptible and which belong to one of the following categories:

F2(i)

GB quarantine pest;

(ii)

provisional GB quarantine pest;

(iii)

PFA quarantine pest,

and for this purpose, the expressions “GB quarantine pest”, “provisional GB quarantine pest” and “PFA quarantine pest” have the meanings given in Regulation (EU) 2016/2031;

(c)

‘methods’ shall mean all methods within the meaning of Article 34 of Regulation (EU) 2017/625.
