"text": "From 1 March 2020, the idle state power (Pidle ) of servers, with the exception of resilient servers, HPC servers and servers with integrated APA, shall not exceed the value calculated using the following equation:\nPidle = Pbase + ΣPadd_i\nwhere Pbase is the basic idle state power allowance in Table 3, and ΣPadd_i is the sum of the idle state power allowances for applicable, additional components, as determined per Table 4. For blade servers, Pidle is calculated as the total measured power divided by the number of installed blade servers in the tested blade chassis. For multi-node servers, the number of sockets are counted per node while Pidle is calculated as the total measured power divided by the number of installed nodes in the tested enclosure.\nTable 3\nBase idle state power allowances\nProduct type\nBase idle state power allowance, Pbase (W)\n1-socket servers (neither blade nor multi-node servers)\n25\n2-socket servers (neither blade nor multi-node servers)\n38\nBlade or multi-node servers\n40\nTable 4\nAdditional Idle Power Allowances for Extra Components\nSystem characteristics\nApplies to\nAdditional idle power allowance\nCPU Performance\nAll servers\n1 socket: 10 × PerfCPU W\n2 socket: 7 × PerfCPU W\nAdditional PSU\nPSU installed explicitly for power redundancy\n10 W per PSU\nHDD or SSD\nPer installed HDD or SSD\n5,0 W per HDD or SSD\nAdditional memory\nInstalled memory greater than 4 GB\n0,18 W per GB\nAdditional buffered DDR channel\nInstalled buffered DDR channels greater than 8 channels\n4,0 W per buffered DDR channel\nAdditional I/O devices\nInstalled devices greater than two ports of ≥ 1 Gbit, onboard Ethernet\n< 1 Gb/s: No Allowance\n= 1 Gb/s: 2,0 W/Active Port\n> 1 Gb/s and < 10 Gb/s: 4,0 W/Active Port\n≥ 10 Gb/s and < 25Gb/s: 15,0 W/Active Port\n≥ 25 Gb/s and < 50Gb/s: 20,0 W/Active Port\n≥ 50 Gb/s 26,0 W/Active Port",
