Article 16 Entry into force and application

1.

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

2.

It shall apply from the day following that on which Union law ceases to apply to the United Kingdom pursuant to Article 50(3) of the Treaty on European Union.

However, Articles 7, 10(3) and 11(2) shall apply from the entry into force of this Regulation.

3.

This Regulation shall not apply if a withdrawal agreement concluded with the United Kingdom in accordance with Article 50(2) of the Treaty on European Union has entered into force by the date referred to in the first subparagraph of paragraph 2.

4.

This Regulation shall cease to apply on the earlier of the following two dates:

(a)

the date on which a comprehensive agreement governing the provision of air transport with the United Kingdom, to which the Union is a party, enters into force, or, as the case may be, is provisionally applied; or

(b)

30 March 2020.
