# Regulation (EU) 2019/788 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the European citizens’ initiative, Article 28: Entry into force and applicability

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
It shall apply from 1 January 2020.
However Articles 9(4), 10, 11(5) and 20 to 24 shall apply from the entry into force of this Regulation.
