Article 64 Derogations

United Kingdom

The Secretary of State or regulatory authority, as appropriate, may grant a derogation from the relevant provisions of Articles 3, 6, 7(1), 8(4), 9 to 11, 16 and 19 to 25 provided that the Secretary of State or regulatory authority is satisfied that there are substantial problems for the operation of small isolated systems and small connected systems.

A derogation granted under this Article shall aim to ensure that it does not obstruct the transition towards renewable energy, increased flexibility, energy storage, electromobility and demand response.

In its decision granting a derogation the F6Secretary of State shall set out to what extent the derogation is to take into account the application of the network codes and guidelines.
