  "heading": "Steps of the reprocessing cycle",
  "text": "The reprocessing cycle shall cover the following steps, if applicable to the device concerned:\n(a) pre-treatment at the point of use;\n(b) transportation, including procedures for safe transportation of hazardous materials;\n(c) preparation before cleaning;\n(d) cleaning;\n(e) thermal disinfection or chemical disinfection;\n(f) drying;\n(g) inspection, maintenance, repair and functionality testing;\n(h) packaging;\n(i) labelling and provision of instructions for use;\n(j) sterilization;\n(k) storage.",
