  "text": "Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/239\nof 20 February 2020\namending Implementing Regulation (EU) No 901/2014 with regard to the adaptation of the templates for type-approval procedures for two- or three-wheel vehicles and quadricycles to the environmental steps Euro 5 and Euro 5+ requirements\n(Text with EEA relevance)\nTHE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,\nHaving regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,\nHaving regard Regulation (EU) No 168/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 January 2013 on the approval and market surveillance of two- or three-wheel vehicles and quadricycles, and in particular Article 27(4), Article 29(4), Article 32(1) and Article 38(2) thereof,\nWhereas:\n(1)\nPursuant to the requirements introduced by Regulation (EU) 2019/129 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the application of the environmental step Euro 5 for L-category vehicles, certain sub-categories of vehicles will have to comply with additional technical requirements as from certain dates. Other sub-categories are exempted or are required to comply with certain requirements later than originally set out in Regulation (EU) No 168/2013.\n(2)\nThe administrative type-approval templates laid down in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 901/2014 should be adapted in light of the amendments provided for in Regulation (EU) 2019/129 to facilitate the type-approval process and to enable national authorities to verify compliance with the requirements of environmental steps Euro 5 and Euro 5+ applicable at a given date.\n(3)\nImplementing Regulation (EU) No 901/2014 should therefore be amended accordingly.\n(4)\nThe measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Technical Committee – Motor Vehicles,\nHAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:",
