Division 2 ADDITIONAL SURVEILLANCE IN THIRD COUNTRIES OR TERRITORIES OR ZONES THEREOF THAT CARRY OUT VACCINATION AGAINST HIGHLY PATHOGENIC AVIAN INFLUENZA

Where vaccination is carried out in a third country or territory or zone thereof, all establishments where vaccination against highly pathogenic avian influenza is carried out must be required to undergo laboratory testing and the following information must be submitted to the Commission, in addition to the information referred to in Annex II:

1. (1)

   number of vaccinated establishments in the area per category;

2. (2)

   number of vaccinated establishments to be sampled per poultry category;

3. (3)

   use of sentinel birds (namely, the species and number of sentinel birds used per epidemiological unit);

4. (4)

   number of samples taken per establishment and/or epidemiological unit;

5. (5)

   data on vaccine efficacy.
