  1. 1The period during which the ungulates must have remained in the third country or territory of origin or zone thereof before the date of slaughter or killing, as referred to in Article 131(2)(a), must be either:
  2. 2Kept ungulates must have remained in their establishment of origin without having come into contact with ungulates of a lower health status, as referred to in Article 131(2)(b) and (c), for at least the 40 days prior to the date of slaughter or killing, where such animals:
