  "text": "Any acoustic deterrent devices used in application of Article 2(2) shall meet one of the following sets of signal and implementation characteristics:\nSet 1\nSet 2\nSignal characteristics\nSignal synthesis\nDigital\nAnalogue\nTonal/wide band\nWide band/Tonal\nTonal\nSource levels (max-min)\nRe 1 μPa@1 m\n145 dB\n130-150dB\nFundamental frequency\n(a) 20-160 KHz\nWide band sweeps\n(b) 10KHz tonal\n10 KHz\nHigh frequency harmonics\nYes\nYes\nPulse duration (nominal)\n300 ms\n300 ms\nInterpulse interval\n(a) 4-30 seconds randomised\n(b) 4 seconds\n4 seconds\nImplementation characteristics\nMaximum spacing between two acoustic deterrent devices along nets\n200 m with one acoustic device fixed at each end of the net (or combination of nets attached together)\n100 m with one acoustic device fixed at each end of the net (or combination of nets attached together)",
