# The Excise Duty Points (Etc.)(New Member States)(Amendment) Regulations 2006, Introduction: Introductory text

The Commissioners for Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 93(1), (2)(a), (fa), (fb), (3), 100G and 100H of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979, section 7(1)(a) and (1A)(b) of the Tobacco Products Duty Act 1979 and sections 1 and 2 of the Finance (No 2) Act 1992:
