This Order declares The Royal College of Art to be an exempt charity within the meaning of the Charities Act 1993 with effect from 1st August 2000. An exempt charity is not required to be registered with the Charity Commissioners and the Commissioners cannot exercise any powers under the Act in relation to an exempt charity except at the charity’s request.
