# The Exotic Disease (Amendment) (England) Order 2023, Article 2: Extension of the definition of “disease”


(1) For the purposes of the Act, the definition of “disease” in section 88(1) of the Act is extended so as to comprise—
(a) transmissible spongiform encephalopathy; and
(b) African swine fever.
