The Secretary of State is a Minister designated^f1 for the purpose of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972^f2 in relation to defence-related products.

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 and by sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 of the Export Control Act 2002^f3, makes the following Order.
