# The Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No. 5) Order 1990

This Order further amends the Export of Goods (Control) Order 1989 byextending the exclusion from control in article 4 thereof for personal firearms to exports to Namibia;introducing export control for microlights, that is aircraft, helicopters and steerable parachutes having a maximum all up weight of not more than 390kg.

## Introductory text

CUSTOMS AND EXCISE
Made 23rd August 1990
Coming into force 31st August 1990
The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred by section 1 of the Import, Export and Customs Powers (Defence) Act 1939 and now vested in him, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

## 1 

This Order may be cited as the Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No. 5) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 31st August 1990.

## 2 

The Export of Goods (Control) Order 1989 shall be further amended as follows—
(a) in article 4(f) the words “or in Namibia” shall be deleted;
(b) in Group 3E in Part II of Schedule 1 after entry PL7010 there shall be inserted the following new entry—
“PL7016 Aircraft, helicopters and steerable parachutes having a maximum all up weight of not more than 390kg …W”.
