Article 2

The Export of Goods (Control) Order 1987^f1 shall be amended as follows:

(a)

after article 2 (xiv) there shall be inserted the following:–

“(xv)

scheduled goods indicated by the letter “Y” are prohibited to be exported to any destination in Syria.”;

(b)

in Group 3I of Part II of Schedule 1, in the unnumbered entry Chemicals (after entry IL 1781 (synthetic lubricating oils and greases)):

(i)

for the letter “I” in heads (1), (2) and (10), there shall be substituted the letters “I, L, Y”;

(ii)

for the letter “A” in head (5), there shall be substituted the letters “I, L, Y”; and

(iii)

at the end there shall be inserted the following additional heads:–

“(13)

Thionyl chloride … A

(14)

Dimethylamine hydrochloride … I, L, Y”.
