Rule 19 Amendments to the Family Procedure Rules 2010

In rule 27.2—

(a)

in the heading, for “of the magistrates’ courts” substitute “: proceedings before a lay justice or justices”;

(b)

in paragraph (1) for “in a magistrates’ court” substitute “in the family court before a lay justice or justices”;

(c)

in paragraph (5)—

(i)

in sub-paragraph (a) before “justice” insert “lay”; and

(ii)

in sub-paragraph (b), before “justice” insert “lay”;

(d)

in paragraph (7), before “justices” insert “lay”; and

(e)

omit paragraph (10) .
