# The Family Procedure (Amendment) Rules 2016, Introduction: Introductory text

The Family Procedure Rule Committee makes the following rules in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6(3), 9(3) and 14(4) of the Attachment of Earnings Act 1971 and sections 75 and 76 of the Courts Act 2003, after consulting in accordance with section 79 of the Courts Act 2003.
