# The Family Proceedings (Amendment) Rules 2001, Article 15: Amendments to the Family Proceedings Rules 1991


In rule 4.1(1)—
(a) after the definition of “child”, insert—
““children and family reporter” means an officer of the service who has been asked to prepare a welfare report under section 7(1)(a);
“children’s guardian”—
(a) means an officer of the service appointed under section 41 for the child with respect to whom the proceedings are brought; but
(b) does not include such an officer appointed in relation to proceedings specified by Part IVA;”;
(b) omit the definition of “guardian ad litem”; and
(c) in the definition of “welfare officer”, for “section 7”, substitute “section 7(1)(b)”.
