  "text": "In section 5 of the National Debt Act 1972 (settlement by Chief Registrar of friendly societies of disputes as to holdings on National Savings Stock Register)—\n(a) in subsection (1), after the words “Chief Registrar of friendly societies” there shall be inserted the words “ or a deputy appointed by him ”,\n(b) in subsection (2), after the words “Chief Registrar” there shall be inserted the words “ or deputy ”,\n(c) in subsection (3)(a), after the words “Chief Registrar of friendly societies” there shall be inserted the words “ or a deputy appointed by him ”, and\n(d) subsection (3)(b) shall cease to have effect.",
