# The Finance Act 2001 (Commencement) Order 2001 S.I. 2001/3089 · made 11 September 2001 This Order brings section 6 of the Finance Act 2001 (c. 9) into force on 6th October 2001. That section gives effect to Schedule 1 to that Act (which makes provision about general betting duty). Schedule 1 provides for sections 1 to 5 of the Betting and Gaming Duties Act 1981 (c. 63) to be replaced with new sections 1 to 5D and for other consequential amendments.
