# The Finance Act 2003, Part 3, (Appointed Day) Order 2003, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This order appoints the day the relevant provisions in the Finance Act 2003 enter into force. The relevant provisions provide for the introduction of civil penalties for contraventions of European Community and national customs laws.
