  "text": "(1) Section 157 (non-residents’ bank accounts) is amended as follows.\n(2) In subsection (2)—\n(a) omit “is not domiciled and not resident in the United Kingdom”;\n(b) at the end insert “is neither resident in the United Kingdom nor a long-term UK resident”.\n(3) In subsection (3), for the words from “if the settlor” to the end, substitute\n“if—\n(a) the trustees are resident in the United Kingdom immediately before the beneficiary’s death,\n(b) the settlor is alive and is a long-term UK resident immediately before the beneficiary’s death,\n(c) the settlor died on or after 6 April 2025 and was not a long-term UK resident immediately before they died, or\n(d) the settlor died before 6 April 2025 and was not domiciled in the United Kingdom when the property became comprised in the settlement.”",
