  "text": "(1) The Treasury may by notice set default values that may be used for determining the emissions embodied in CBAM goods.\n(2) Default values set under this paragraph may (among other things)—\n(a) vary depending on where the emissions embodied in a CBAM good were emitted;\n(b) be in respect of any portion of the emissions embodied in a CBAM good.\n(3) A default value may be set at a level that ensures that there would not be an advantage to any person liable to CBAM in using the value instead of determining the emissions embodied in a CBAM good in accordance with regulations under paragraph 10.\n(4) In sub-paragraph (3), “advantage” includes an advantage arising from—\n(a) the emissions embodied in a CBAM good being lower if determined using default values;\n(b) not bearing the cost of determining or verifying emissions in accordance with regulations under paragraph 10.",
