# The Fire and Rescue Services (England) Order 2004, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 10th September 2004
Coming into force 1st October 2004
The First Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 19, 21(6) and 60 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004, and having consulted such persons as he considers appropriate in accordance with section 19(7) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:
