# The Fire Precautions (Sub-surface Railway Stations) Regulations 1989, Introduction: Introductory text


FIRE PRECAUTIONS
Made 4th August 1989
Laid before Parliament 14th August 1989
Coming into force:
all regulations except 5(4) and (5), 6(3), (4), (6) and (8), 7(1) and (2) and 8(3) 18th September 1989
regulations 6(3) and 7(1) and (2) 1st January 1990
regulations 5(4) and (5) and 6(4), (6) and (8) 1st January 1991
regulation 8(3) 1st January 1996
In exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 12(1), (3) and (4), 37(2) and (3) and 40(1) of the Fire Precautions Act 1971, and having consulted with such persons and bodies of persons as appear to me requisite, I hereby make the following Regulations:
