# The Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 (Commencement No. 2) Order (Amendment) Order 1989, Article 3


The Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1989 shall be amended as follows:
(a) in article 7 (commencement of section 20(1) and (2) of the 1988 Act for the purpose of enabling the Secretary of State to make an order to come into force on 1st October 1989) for the words “expressed to come into force on 1st October 1989” there shall be substituted the words “to come into force on the date on which section 20 of the 1988 Act comes into force for all other purposes”, and
(b) in Part II of the Schedule (provisions of the 1988 Act coming into force on 1st October 1989) the entry relating to section 20 of the 1988 Act (removal of arms and ammunition to Northern Ireland) shall be omitted.
