# The Firearms (Amendment and Revocation) Rules 2026, Introduction: Introductory text


This Statutory Instrument has been made in consequence of defects in S.I. 2025/914 and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of that Statutory Instrument.

Made 12th March 2026
Coming into force 23rd March 2026
The Secretary of State makes these Rules in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 26A, 26B(1), (2)(a) and (b) and 53(1)(a) of the Firearms Act 1968.
