  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order revokes with effect from 1st January 2004 the Firearms (Removal to Northern Ireland) Order 1990 with the result that the removal of firearms or ammunition, to which section 1 of the Firearms Act 1968 applies, from Great Britain to Northern Ireland no longer requires the prior approval of the chief officer of police for the area from which they are to be removed and the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland.",
