# The Firearms Rules 1998, Paragraph 1: Directions as to the manner of keeping a register


The register may be kept in the following manner—
(i) it may be kept in separate sections and subsections; and
(ii) it may be divided into separate sections or subsections for firearms and ammunition:
Provided that—
(a) the nature of the contents of each section or subsection is indicated at the beginning of the section or subsection, and
(b) the sections and subsections are so kept as to be readily available for inspection.
