# The Firearms (Scotland) Rules 1989, Introduction: Introductory text


ARMS AND AMMUNITION
Made 19th May 1989
Coming into force 1st July 1989
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 7(1), 9(2),13(1), 26(1) and (2), 27(2) and (3), 28(2), 33(1),(3) and (5), 37(1), 40(7), 53, 55(1) and 57(4) of the Firearms Act 1968 and section 17(2) and (4) of the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Rules:
