In rule G6 (election to purchase increased benefits)^f1—

(a)

in paragraph (1), for “fire authority” (in both places), substitute “fire and rescue authority”;

(b)

in paragraph (2), for “retirement date”, substitute “normal pension age”;

(c)

in paragraph (4)—

(i)

for “retirement date”, substitute “normal pension age”;

(ii)

for “fire authority” (in both places), substitute “fire and rescue authority”; and

(iii)

in sub-paragraph (a), omit “of brigade”; and

(d)

for paragraph (5), substitute—

An election under this rule—

(a)

takes effect, subject to paragraph (3)(b), on the day on which the written notice is received by the fire and rescue authority, and
