  "text": "In rule J4 (part-time member of brigade)–\n(a) in paragraph (1)–\n(i) for “This”, substitute “Subject to paragraph (1A), this”; and\n(ii) for “a retained or volunteer member of a brigade”, substitute “employed by a fire and rescue authority as a retained firefighter or who was a volunteer firefighter”;\n(b) after paragraph (1), insert–\n“(1A) Paragraph (1) does not apply where the person was also employed by the authority as a regular firefighter.”;\n(c) in paragraph (3)–\n(i) for “This”, substitute “Subject to paragraph (3A), this”; and\n(ii) for “a retained or volunteer member of a brigade”, substitute “employed by a fire and rescue authority as a retained firefighter or who is or has been a volunteer firefighter”;\n(d) after paragraph (3), insert–\n“(3A) Paragraph (3) does not apply where the person was also employed by the authority as a regular firefighter.”; and\n(e) in paragraph (7)–\n(i) for “member of a brigade”, substitute “employee of a fire and rescue authority”; and\n(ii) for sub-paragraph (a), substitute–\n“(a) was employed in the same role as the retained or volunteer firefighter and had the same service in that role”.",
