Public Service Pensions
Made 13th May 2025
Laid before the Scottish Parliament 15th May 2025
Coming into force 1st July 2025
The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1), 1(2)(f), 2(1) and 3(1) and paragraph 6(c) of schedule 2 of the Public Service Pensions Act 2013 (“the 2013 Act”) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 22(2) of the 2013 Act, the Scottish Ministers have consulted the representatives of such persons as appeared to the Scottish Ministers likely to be affected by these Regulations and have laid a report before the Scottish Parliament.

## 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Amendment) (Scotland) Regulations 2025 and come into force on 1 July 2025.

## 2 Amendment of the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 2015

The Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 2015 are amended as follows.

In regulation 110(2)—
(a) in the second column of the table, after “1st April 2018” insert “- 30th June 2025”,
(b) at the end, insert—

£35,001 to £55,000
13.63%
£55,001 to £142,500
14.23%
£142,501 or more
15.23%
”
(c) omit paragraph (2B).
