# The Firefighters’ Pension Schemes (Scotland) Amendment Order 2019, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before the Scottish Parliament 31st October 2019
Coming into force 10th December 2019
The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 26(1), (2) and (5) of the Fire Services Act 1947, section 34(1) to (4) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004, sections 12 and 16 of the Superannuation Act 1972, and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 34(5) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004, the Scottish Ministers have consulted with such persons as they considered appropriate.
