# The Firefighters' Pension (Wales) Scheme (Amendment) Order 2006, Introduction: Introductory text

The National Assembly for Wales makes the following Order in exercise of the powers contained in section 26 of the Fire Services Act 1947, section 12 of the Superannuation Act 1972 as applied by section 16(3) of that Act, sections 36, 53, 60 and 62 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004, and section 259(1), (2)(c) and (4)(b) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004:
