(2) This Order comes into force on 1 April 2014. ## 2 Amendment of the Firemen’s Pension Scheme Order 1992 Schedule 2 to the Firemen’s Pension Scheme Order 1992 (in which the Firefighter’s Pension (Wales) Scheme is set out), as it has effect in Wales, is amended in accordance with article 3 of this Order. ## 3 Amendment of the Firemen’s Pension Scheme Order 1992 For the Table in paragraph 3 of Part A1 of Schedule 8 substitute the following Table— “ Pensionable Pay Contribution rate from 1 April 2014 Up to and including £15,000 11.0% More than £15,000 and up to and including £21,000 12.2% More than £21,000 and up to and including £30,000 14.2% More than £30,000 and up to and including £40,000 14.7% More than £40,000 and up to and including £50,000 15.2% More than £50,000 and up to and including £60,000 15.5% More than £60,000 and up to and including £100,000 16.0% More than £100,000 and up to and including £120,000 16.5% More than £120,000 17.0%. ” ## Signature Lesley Griffiths Minister for Local Government and Government Business, one of the Welsh Ministers 4 March 2014 ## Explanatory note (This note is not part of the Order) This Order amends the Firefighters’ Pension (Wales) Scheme (set out in Schedule 2 to the Firemen’s Pension Scheme Order 1992 (S.I. 1992/129)) (“the Scheme”) as it has effect in Wales. The amendment provides different rates for pension contributions payable by members of the Scheme which increase according to the amount of pensionable pay which the member receives. The contribution rates are specified in the Table in paragraph 3 of Part A1 of Schedule 8 to the Scheme. The Welsh Ministers’ Code of Practice on the carrying out of a Regulatory Impact Assessment was considered in relation to this Order. As a result, a regulatory impact assessment has been prepared as to the likely costs and benefits of complying with this Order.
