  "text": "(1) For paragraph (5) of rule G3 (election not to pay pension contributions) there shall be substituted:\n“(5) Subject to paragraphs (5A) and (6), a person who has made an election under paragraph (1) may cancel it by giving written notice to the fire authority.\n(5A) Except in the case of a person to whom rule F6A applies, a notice under paragraph (5) must be given no later than his 45th birthday.”.\n(2) At the beginning of rule G3(6) there shall be inserted the words “Except in the case of a person to whom rule F6A applies,”.\n(3) At the end of rule G3 there shall be added the following paragraph:\n“(9) References in this Scheme to any period during which an election under this rule not to pay pension contributions had effect shall not include any period in respect of which a transfer value or lump sum has been paid under rule F6A.”.",
