In Part I of Schedule 5 (adult dependent relative’s special pension)—

(a)

in paragraph 1, for “paragraph 2” substitute “paragraphs 2 and 3”; and

(b)

after paragraph 2 insert—

Where some or all of the deceased’s service, which is reckonable as pensionable service, was part-time service, the amount of the deceased’s average pensionable pay shall be calculated using the formula in paragraph 2 of Part VIA of Schedule 2.

In making the calculation mentioned in sub-paragraph (1), for the value of A there shall be substituted “A is the average pensionable pay the deceased would have received had he been a whole-time member of a brigade”.”.
