# The Fishing Vessels (Decommissioning) Scheme 1996, Section 12: Method of payment


(1) Payments by way of grant may be made by the Ministers at such time, or by such instalments at such intervals or times, as they may determine.
(2) Subject to sub-paragraph (3) below, the Ministers may decline to make payments of grant to persons other than the applicants.
(3) Any assignment (or in Scotland assignation) of or charge on, and any agreement to assign or charge, any benefit payable under this Scheme shall be void.
