# The Fishing Vessels (Financial Assistance) Scheme 1987, Section 3: Purpose of Scheme


This Scheme provides for the making of the following grants for the purpose of re-organising and developing the sea fish catching industry–
(a) exploratory voyage grants; and
(b) joint venture grants.
