# The Fishing Vessels (Safety Provisions) (Amendment) Rules 1975, Note: Explanatory note


These Rules amend the Merchant Shipping (Fishing Vessels) (Safety Provisions) Rules 1975 by specifying additional marking and construction requirements for the lifebuoys, and by specifying additional requirements for the lifejackets, required to be carried on fishing vessels. The Rules also correct a typographical error in Schedule 10 of the principal Rules.
