# The Fishing Vessels (Safety Provisions) Rules 1975, Article 64: Openings in decks


(1) In every vessel of 12 metres in length and over to which these Rules apply skylight openings which do not provide means of escape shall be provided with protective bars.
(2) In every such vessel access hatchway openings shall be not less than 600 millimetres by 600 millimetres.
