# The Fishing Vessels (Safety Provisions) Rules 1975, Article 65: Stairways and ladders


In every vessel to which these Rules apply stairways and ladders shall be provided of size and strength adequate for the safe working of the vessel at sea and in port. Stairways and ladders shall be provided with non-slip treads and handrails.
