# The Fixed Penalty (Amendment) Order 2014, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 18th February 2014
Coming into force 1st April 2014
The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 53 of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
Representative organisations have been consulted in accordance with section 88(2) of that Act.
