# The Fixed Penalty Offences Order 2025, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 27th January 2025
Coming into force 24th February 2025
The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 51(3) of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
The Secretary of State has consulted with such representative organisations as appear appropriate before making this Order as required by section 88(2) of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
