Regulation 8 Amendment of the Food Labelling Regulations 1996

In regulation 18(1) (foods which need not bear a list of ingredients)—

(a)

in sub-paragraph (e) the words from “any food” to “including” shall be omitted;

(b)

there shall be inserted after sub-paragraph (f) the following sub-paragraph—

“;

(g)

any food consisting of a single ingredient, where—

(i)

the name of the food is identical with the name of the ingredient; or

(ii)

the name of the food enables the nature of the ingredient to be clearly identified”.
